Could you please help me understand my bill?

  1. Addressee = resident(s) and their billing address
  2. Resident ID = this helps Multifamily Utility Company identify you, please provide this when calling our Customer Support
  3. Service Address = physical address that is being billed
  4. Bill Date = date invoice was printed
  5. Due Date = date total amount due is due to not receive late fees
  6. Description = utilities and/or services you are being billed for
  7. Service Dates = current service period for services billed
  8. Meter Reading = only applicable for metered properties, this will show the meter reads used to calculate usage
  9. Current Charges = amount owed for the current service period
  10. Previous Balance = balance still owed from previous bills
  11. Payments = total amount of payments made from last bill to current   bill
  12. Amount Due = total charges including late fees, previous balance and/or adjustments. If the amount is in parenthesis this means you have a credit balance and you do not currently owe Multifamily Utility Company
  13. Make Checks Payable To = this will most commonly be Multifamily Utility Company unless your community has chosen to collect payment on site, if this is the case you will see your community’s name & address here
  14. Security Code = code used to setup your online account
  15. Multiplier = in some cases (dependent on the type of meter), a meter registers only a portion of the kilowatt-hours used, and a meter multiplier must be used to determine the customer's actual kilowatt-hour usage.
